Equipment Capacity

L.A. Martin Company currently operates over 30 CNC turning and CNC milling machines, along with extensive tooling, inspection equipment, and support equipment.

Our CNC turning capabilities include bar-fed CNC lathes, chucking lathes, sub-spindle machines, live tooling, Y-axis capability, dual-turret machines, and automatic gantry loading.

1. Our largest CNC lathe bar feeder has a 3″ bar capacity with live tooling and sub-spindle capability.

2. For larger shaft work, our largest through-spindle CNC lathe can accept material up to 4.5″ diameter through the spindle.

3. Our lathes can swing up to 25″ diameter.

4. Our largest vertical machining center has about a 60″ x 30″ travel.

5. Our largest horizontal machining center has a 39″ table swing and 31″ x 35″ x 38″ axis travels.

6. Our automatic gantry-loading CNC lathes can handle raw stock up to 9.25″ diameter.

7. Our automatic saw can cut material up to 13″ diameter and 20 ft long.

We use GibbsCam CAD/CAM software for offline CNC programming. We can import 3D CAD files directly into our software for faster programming of complex parts.

We use CMM Manager software for our DCC coordinate measuring machine. It allows the importing of Solid Models and the creation of reports.

For our ERP system (I.E. job tracking) we use Realtrac Software.
